I am a licensed psychologist and founder of Atlanta Prosper Psychological Services. My vision of Atlanta Prosper began with a commitment to make a concerted effort to balance my desire for achievement with self-acceptance and love. My personal anti-anxiety mantra "Like a tree" (shortened from Psalm 1:2,3) inspired the business name. My interpretation of the scripture, which I believe is universal and not bound by religion, is that when we follow our instinctive good nature we can forgive, or even embrace, our imperfections and attain true happiness and prosperity.
I am a proponent of the idea that each person possesses the personal power to change for the better. By re-framing our thoughts, increasing our positive experiences, and envisioning our best selves, we are able to heal old wounds and gain new perspective. Better still, by living with an attitude of abundance and goodwill we are able to positively impact our environment. Optimism, like any other strong emotion, is contagious! Everyone has a different motivation to tap into their natural current, which flows in the direction of growth. The time to tap into that motivation is always now!
